Other Current Issues

Alongside these efforts, the NCBP recently launched an initiative geared to energize bars to involve their communities in a dialogue on the more difficult questions of our day. The public requires information and expertise in order to engage in meaningful conversations and to make decisions about the death penalty, gun control, affirmative action, to name a few. And, there is no group better suited or better trained to orchestrate a full and fair dialogue than those immersed in the law and devoted to their community…the leaders of the organized bar. The NCBP will streamline the flow of information and experience among bar leaders on the tough issues, enabling associations to come off the sidelines and better assist an informed public to enter the debate.
